Do you need a mobile-friendly website?

Tebo Marketing + Design urges all clients to consider the benefits of a mobile-friendly approach. More and more people use their smart phones to perform web searches, and it’s important that your website is responsive (mobile-friendly). In fact, it’s a necessity if you want your website to rank in Google search results.

On April 21, Google released a new algorithm that favors mobile-friendly websites. Not-so fondly dubbed “Mobilegeddon,” this recent change means mobile-friendly sites rank higher in search results than websites that are only optimized for desktops and laptops. And while this algorithm only immediately affects mobile search results, any reduction in overall traffic hurts your site’s desktop search ranking.

Nearly 95% of our current website clients opt for a responsive design. While the upfront expense is higher due to extra coding and cross-browser and cross-device testing, the ROI proves to be much greater over time. Now, it seems, a mobile approach is no longer optional if you wish to rank in the major search engines.

Do you need a mobile-friendly responsive website? If mobile search engine traffic plays a roll in the success of your business or organization, the answer is Yes.
